Short description of the study programme

The MSc Program in Electrical Engineering is designed to give students a thorough understanding of the tools, methods, applications and practice of Electrical Engineering. It is both focused and practical in its orientation, with the goal to provide an education that is directly applicable to positions in industry. It is an integrated curriculum consisting of courses developed for the deeper theoretical understanding of the foundations of electrical engineering, as well as for obtaining practical knowledge and skills required by industrial applications.
The major specializations in Electrical Engineering are Electric Power Systems, Multimedia Systems and Services, and Embedded Systems. The track Electric Power Systems covers a wide range of theoretical and practical knowledge including the design and safe operation of electrical energy transmission and distribution systems, the design and operation of electric machines, and operational principles and applications of low and high voltage switching devices. Multimedia Systems and Services is concerned with telecommunication and computer network based applications (voice, data, image, video, multimedia and composite social information systems). Embedded Systems focuses on computer-based and application-oriented systems that operate autonomously and have intensive information exchange with their physical-technological environment.
Each main specialization contains five courses focusing on the field of interest, two laboratory courses, and two project laboratory courses. In these laboratories equipped with up-to-date devices, students gain hands-on experiences, which prepare them for various industrial challenges.

Minimum criteria: diploma of BSc in corresponding field (min. quality 70%), electronic e-admission test result min. 50%

Steps: - preevaluation of the submitted documents: quality of BSc diploma (min 70%), quality of BSc transcript, obtained credits in the corresponding fields, additional evaluated aspects: quality of motivation letter, recommendation letter (if available) - electronic e-admission test (via internet): technical knowledge, evaluation of language skills (the test is in English), motivation, attitude, technical preparedness in the selected field (min. 50% required) Result: admission to MSc programme /admission rejected
