Short description of the study programme

The PhD Program in Electrical Engineering is designed to pursue research in the areas of embedded systems, robotics, control, telecommunication systems, microwave technologies, electron devices, nanotechnology, antennas and propagation, power systems and energetics. There are courses which provide the disciplinary background of research including cutting edge mathematics in the domain of stochastic processes, functional analysis and linear algebra, and also in networking and algorithms. There are at least 20-30 research topics announced each year by the supervisors. Besides completing the courses the PhD students research on their chosen topics and publish their results with the help of their supervisors.

Steps: - preevaluation of the submitted documents: quality of MSc diploma (min 70%), quality of MSc and BSc transcripts, obtained credits in the corresponding fields, additional evaluated aspects: quality of motivation letter, recommendation letters - selection of research topics - electronic interview (via internet): evaluation of language skills (the interview is in English), motivation, attitude, technical preparedness in the selected research field Result: admission to PhD programme /admission rejected
