BME ranks equal with other universities in the region on the QS world university rankings

Based on graduate employability, BME is one of the top 500 universities in the world. BME has maintained this excellent position since 2018.

In addition to publishing rankings by subject and region, the British Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings company individually assesses key indicators in higher education such as graduate employability outcomes and prospects. The newly released Graduate Employability Rankings 2020 is designed to help students compare the performance of the top 500 universities.

Two of Hungary's higher education institutions earned a place in the top 500 universities: both BME and ELTE were ranked 301-500. Compared with the results of neighbouring and the Visegrad countries, BME's ranking is also good, outperformed only by one of the leading technology universities, the Brno University of Technology.

Ranks of other technology universities in the region:

Czech Republic: Brno University of Technology

201-250.

Austria: Graz University of Technology

301-500.

Czech Republic: Czech Technical University in Prague

301-500.

Poland: Warsaw University of Technology

301-500.

Slovakia: Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava

301-500.

The scores awarded to the higher education institutions assessed are comprised of five carefully-chosen indicators (employer reputation, alumni outcomes, partnerships with employers per faculty, employer/student connections and graduate employment rate).

The weighting of these indicators was determined partly with the goal of minimising the quantity of data collected from the universities.
