The "smart city" conception has recently became very fashionable. However, there are several misunderstandings in connection with the notion. The delevopments have a determinant effect on our future in every point of view since many generations will have to live together with the results of the infrastructure created today considering not only the economical but the social and environmental consequences.

Our British lecturers named Geoff Snelson és Jessica Ellis are cognizants of the topic, they are practising experts, program managers of two smart cities from whom we can get to know what we call a smart city, what it means in their routine and what kind of experiences they have at first hand.
