WELCOME
The Federated Innovation and Knowledge Centre (EIT), within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) – in cooperation with the Hungarian Astronautical Society – organizes an international conference on space research under the name of H-SPACE 2019. Following the success of previous conferences, this becomes the 5th International Conference on Research, Technology and Education of Space.

The featured topic of this year’s conference is “Special focus on water and environment”, however, contributions are not limited to the featured topic. The agenda of the conference addresses scientific, technological and educational aspects of space research and space activities. The conference is open to both international and local professionals. It also provides an opportunity to showcase Hungarian scientific, technological, educational and outreach activities, related to space. The conference consists of three main sections, related to Science, and Technology, followed by Education and Outreach.

We accept abstracts for oral and poster presentations. All accepted abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts. Authors will be asked to submit a full paper which will be reviewed and published in the official conference proceedings after the conference. We have a no show – no paper policy which means only those papers will be published in the conference proceedings whose authors participated the conference and hold their presentation (either oral or poster). The authors of the best lectures will be given an option to publish their papers in peer-reviewed journals.

VENUE
The H-SPACE 2019 conference will take place at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Budapest, Hungary.
Building K – Műegyetem rkp. 3., H-1111, Budapest
Building I – Magyar tudósok krt. 2, H-1117 Budapest

First day: How can you find the building K?
The first day of H-SPACE 2019 will take place in building K, the central building of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The nearest public transport stop to the university is “Szent Gellért tér M” at the Szabadság bridge. Metro line M4 as well as several tram lines (tram 19, 41, 47, 49, 56) serve this station.

Second day: How can you find the building I?
The second day of H-SPACE2019 will take place in building I (where I stands for Informatics).
The nearest public transport stop to the university is “Petőfi híd, budai hídfő” at the Petőfi bridge, where the major tram lines Nr. 4 and 6 stop (and several bus lines). From the tram stop, take the underpass and turn left (south), then head along the foot-path going parallel to the river Danube. On the first corner turn to the right, and start to go around on that semicircle street (Magyar tudósok körútja).
There is an other public transport stop nearby, named “Infopark” of tram line 1.
The university is 15 minutes walk from the nearest metro station (metro line M4), which allows direct access to the train stations and bus stations in less than 15 minutes, and the Budapest Airport is only 60 minutes by public transport.
