Short description of the study programme

The highest level of the faculty’s education is represented by the Kandó Kálmán Doctoral School, where the PhD students are being prepared for scientific research and a possible career as a professor and researcher. The 4 year program lets the students take part in professional subjects and courses, teaching activities and individual scientific research tasks. The programme’s tasks deal with transportation, vehicle industry and logistics related questions, which actual topics are frequently updated.

Admission procedure in general and general requirements: refer to admission regulations at www.bme.hu Minimum criteria: eligible diploma of MSc in engineering fields, research plan agreed by the host institute in advance, successful admission test Steps: - preevaluation of the submitted documents: quality of MSc diploma, quality of MSc and BSc transcript (min 70%), obtained credits, quality of research plan, additional evaluated aspects: quality of motivation letter, recommendation letter, extra-curricular activities (e.g. involvement in education, research, publication activitites, technical contests, additional language knowledge, etc.) - electronic interview (via internet): evaluation of language skills (the interview is in English), motivation, attitude, technical preparedness in the selected research field Result: admission to PhD programme /admission rejected
