What's more, both of them wrote their theses at the Department of Transportation Technology and Transportation Economics.

The Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering at BME achieved outstanding success in the 2025 European Friedrich List Prize competition: students from the faculty received awards in both the thesis and doctoral categories.

The European Friedrich List Prize is an annual award given by the European Platform for Transport Science (EPTS) to transport science researchers under the age of 40. Named after the renowned 19th-century German transport and economic policy thinker, the prize is worth €1,000 in the doctoral thesis category and €500 in the master's thesis category. It is primarily awarded for research dealing with sustainable and cross-border transport issues in a European context, whether from a technical or economic perspective.

In her thesis, Gabriella Tanai examined the factors influencing the use of electric scooter sharing services using a technology acceptance model. The thesis is

an interdisciplinary study that also covers the field of psychology,

examining the Big Five personality dimensions as influencing factors.

The winner in the doctoral category, Adrienn Boldizsár, whose dissertation is titled Modeling and Economic Analysis of Freight Transport Flows in Europe, examines freight transport processes on the continent, with a particular focus on sustainability and the economic impact of cross-border logistics systems. Both winners wrote their theses at the Department of Transportation Technology and Transportation Economics at BME.

The award ceremony was held in Paris as part of the 23rd European Transport Congress, which brought together the continent's leading transportation science experts.
