Topics range from strengthening security-conscious organizational culture to rapid recovery and resilience development.

From September on, free cybersecurity training courses will be available at BME as part of the InnovaCyBridge project. The initiative, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), aims to provide participants with up-to-date, practical knowledge in the field of digital security.

With a total budget of €1.3 million,

InnovaCyBridge aims to integrate advanced cybersecurity management education into entrepreneurial and startup training, thereby increasing the resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises to digital challenges.

Besides BME, which is responsible for work package 4, the consortium includes Aston University from Birmingham, Hellenic Mediterranean University from Greece, University Business Academy Novi Sad, two startup mentoring companies — Twinnovation in Israel and Acceler8 in Malta — and the Israel Innovation Institute, a non-profit knowledge center.

The newly launched program is available in both hybrid and face-to-face formats and consists of five complementary, internationally relevant modules:

· Strategic Cyber Governance – Application of governance, risk & compliance frameworks
· Human-Centric Security & Resilience – Strengthening a security-conscious organizational culture
· Security Operations & Incident Management – Detection and handling of security incidents
· Threat Detection & Digital Forensics – Investigation of attacks and preservation of digital evidence
· Incident Recovery & Organisational Readiness – Rapid recovery and resilience development

Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate and a digital badge they can include in their CVs and LinkedIn profiles. A detailed description of the course topics can be found on the InnovaCyBridge website, launched just a few days ago.
