International Recognition for BME GTK as the Faculty Earns BGA Validation

This achievement opens up new opportunities for both current students and the alumni community of GTK.
The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences (GTK) at BME was awarded the BGA Validation for a period of three years, effective March 26, following approval by the International Accreditation Advisory Board of the Business Graduates Association (BGA). This international recognition validates the faculty’s work in the areas of improving educational quality, responsible management practices, innovation, sustainability, and student value creation. The next comprehensive review of the certification will take place in March 2029.
BGA is a London-based international validation and accreditation organization that brings together the world’s leading business schools. It focuses is on responsible management practices, lifelong learning, educational innovation, and institutional and societal impact. Its goal is to ensure that affiliated institutions not only provide high-quality education but also create tangible, positive value for their students, partners, and communities.

BGA Validation is an international quality assurance accreditation that certifies that the holder’s operations comply with independent international quality standards and that it is committed to continuous improvement, positive social impact, graduate employability, and responsible, cutting-edge business education. The achievement is thus closely linked to the “Business & Beyond” concept championed by GTK, an approach that interprets business and management education within broader social, technological, and sustainability contexts, and strives to provide students with modern, responsible, and internationally competitive knowledge.
“The BGA Validation accreditation is an important international endorsement. It confirms that the faculty’s educational and development efforts are in line with international quality standards.
At the same time, it serves as an incentive for further development, strengthening our international presence, and advancing responsible, future-oriented business and management education,” said Mária Csete, née Szalma, Dean of GTK.
This accreditation opens up new opportunities for GTK’s current students and alumni community: they can join the BGA’s individual membership network, which offers an international professional community, exclusive events, professional and career development resources, and additional networking opportunities. Winning this award also commits GTK to further development: strengthening its international presence, enhancing its educational portfolio, and increasing its social, economic, and professional impact.
