BME To Return To Europe’s Largest Higher Education Exhibition

Between September 8th and 11th, Glasgow will host one of the most significant professional events in international higher education, the EAIE Conference and Exhibition. BME will be taking part again, alongside ten other Hungarian institutions.

The European Association for International Education (EAIE) is the most significant community of European and international higher education professionals. Its annual forum provides an opportunity for professional dialogue and for presenting educational and mobility trends. The 33-year-old conference is the largest event of its kind in the EU, with more than 200 exhibitors from over 100 countries.

Each year, the conference brings together thousands of professionals, higher education institutions, professional organisations and education policy-makers from all over the world to reflect jointly on the future of higher education and the opportunities for international cooperation.

According to the organisers, this year’s conference slogan (‘The Rhythm of Change’) “encourages participants to boldly challenge the status quo and actively shape the future of education”. They add that it is now particularly important for stakeholders in higher education to 

respond to global challenges with a clear vision for the future, building on cooperation and maintaining an openness to change.

The participation of Hungarian universities is managed by the Tempus Public Foundation. The aim is to enhance the international visibility of these institutions, to foster existing partnerships, and to establish new professional and research collaborations.

During the conference, members of the delegation will take part in professional programmes, panel discussions and bilateral meetings, which will provide opportunities, amongst other things, to further expand international mobility, educational and research collaborations.
