Short description of the study programme

ME3+ programme is an integrated and innovative programme combining Energy and Environmental Process Engineering together with Management and Social Sciences, and integrating the information and communication technology (ICT) for a 2-years full programme (120 ECTS) Delivered by 5 European renowned partner universities, it aims at offering a well-balanced education to train future engineers and managers to participate to energy and environment transitions developing strong knowledge and skills within 3 possible study tracks (renewable energy integration, resource recovery for the circular economy, and smart cities and industry 4.0) and a 6-months internship (Master Thesis) delivering double Master of Science degrees.

Study tracks provide multiple degrees, after successful completion of the study programme:
Study track 1 offers the MSc in Mechanical Engineering Modelling from BME and the MSc in "Process and Bioprocess Engineering" track "Project Management for Environmental and Energy Engineering" (MSc PBPE /PM3E) from IMT Atlantique
 Study track 2 offers the MSc with major in Resource Recovery, specialisation in Energy Technology from HB and the MSc in "Process and Bioprocess Engineering" track "Project Management for Environmental and Energy Engineering" (MSc PBPE /PM3E) from IMT Atlantique
Study track 3 offers the Joint MSc in Energy Engineering from Unibz and Unitn and the MSc in "Process and Bioprocess Engineering" track "Project Management for Environmental and Energy Engineering" (MSc PBPE /PM3E) from IMT Atlantique

Minimum requirements

To enter the programme, candidates must have either a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (180 ECTS) - or a recognised equivalent diploma from an accredited institution (minimum 3-year full time study, 180 ECTS) in a scientific or technical discipline - with specialization in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering or equivalent awarded with at least second class honours (or equivalent standard).  Other engineering curricula such as Electrical Engineering, Civil engineering, Environment Engineering are accepted with documented background in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics

Description of selection and entrance examination process

Application has to be sent in electronics (pdf) format.
All complete application files are reviewed and rated by two reviewers from the five academic partners of the ME3+ consortium, with the following criteria:

 Academic excellence (30%): education background, bachelor grades and ranking, quality of the university of origin

Professional/academic experience, extra-curricular activities (20%): professional experience in the ME3+ field (e.g. energy/environment) in industry or in research, professional experiences not related to the domain, social or extra-scholar activities

    Professional objectives and career project (15%): targeted jobs and career project presented in the motivation letter, objectives of learning or acquisition of complementary skills thanks to the Master

Language skills (15%): English (high priority) and other European language such as Italian, German, French, Swedish or Hungarian

Motivation for intercultural experience, interest in European countries and cultures (10%): intercultural experience and international mobility, specific interest for Europe or ME3+ countries

Recommendation letters (10%): quality of the referees, quality of the letters, content well related to the ME3+ Master
