The water polo team became champions in front of the Rector himself.

The MEFOB Feszt took place at the beginning of May, organised by the Hungarian University and College Sports Association (MEFS). The three-day festival, the biggest event in university sport in Hungary, featured competitions in 13 sports, with BME students winning a total of 19 medals.

The men's water polo final was attended by BME Rector Hassan Charaf. He was personally invited by Semmelweis University Rector Béla Merkely, a former waterpolo player, who officiated the match.
