The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (the "University") is committed to the lawful, transparent, and secure processing of personal data.

In addition to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information (the "Privacy Act "), the University's data processing activities are primarily governed by Rector's Instruction No. 12/2026 on Data Protection and Data Security.
