It is of paramount importance for BME to ensure equal opportunities for its students in all subjects and fields. The range of institutional services available to students with special needs studying at BME, as well as to the University's academic staff, is increasing. Under the auspices of equal opportunities, BME aims to provide equal opportunities for all students to pursue their studies according to their abilities and diligence, and to ensure that their special needs do not impede their academic performance and integration.
Under the coordination of ÉSZI, BME offers various equal opportunities services and welcomes applicants for its scholarship programme, who can help their peers as tutors, mentors or note-takers.
BME ÉSZI is involved in the event management process as an ad hoc sales agent for spaces, as a licensor for university events, and as a supervisor of the system of advertising on the various platforms of the institution. The directorate also provides graphic design and printing services to the various departments of the university.
University services
BME ÉSZI plays an active role in the organisation of university events that take place on the campus of the institution with a large number of external participants (e.g. BME Career Fair, BME Open Day, etc.), as well as in the coordination of external events where the participants represent the whole University (e.g. Educatio Exhibition).
Within the framework of its international services, BME ÉSZI helps foreign students coming to the University with various scholarships (e.g. Stipendium Hungaricum, Erasmus+), as well as Hungarian young people who decide to spend a shorter or longer period of time as a scholarship holder in a foreign country.
BME ÉSZI seeks to maintain contact with graduates after graduation. They build an alumni community, informing former students about events and achievements at the alma mater through regular publications.
It has an active relationship with the BME Shop, the official online store for products with the BME logo. For BME, it is important to strengthen the community of university citizens, an essential element of which are objects and clothing with the symbols and slogans of the University. Being a citizen of BME is a way of life, and this identity and belonging to the institution is represented by the BME Shop's product range.
