BME KJK expands its global reach

The Department of Aeronautics and Navigation entered into strategic cooperation with renowned national and international partners.

The Department of Aeronautics and Navigation at BME's Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering signed a series formal cooperation agreements with a select group of prestigious national and international institutions. These partnerships are aimed at fostering collaboration in cutting-edge areas such as unmanned systems, automation, and digitalization.

The agreements were signed within the framework of the Cooperative Technologies National Laboratory of Hungary, highlighting BME KJK’s strategic vision for interdisciplinary research and innovation through global and national engagement. The signatory organisations and their representatives were the following:

- Piri Reis University, Türkiye – Ziya Söğüt, Vice-Rector
- Sustainable Development and Environment Association (SUDEAS) – Ziya Söğüt, Founder and President
- Erciyes University, Aviation Application and Research Center (ERHAM), Türkiye – Assoc. Prof. Melih Yıldız, Deputy Director
- HT Division PLC – Suat Gökhan Karakuş, CEO
- Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Institute of Mechanical Sciences, Lithuania Artūras Kilikevičius, Director
 

Nemeslaki András

BME was represented by András Nemeslaki, Vice Rector for International Relations, Ádám Török, Vice Dean, Faculty of Transportation Engineering, Dániel Rohács, Head of the Department of Aeronautics and Naval Architecture (RHT-BME) and Utku Kale, Faculty Member at RHT-BME and European Commission Expert.

The signing ceremony was also attended by more than 20 international academics and industry experts from a variety of countries. They exchanged ideas on emerging technologies, research synergies and future collaboration opportunities. These partnerships are important for strengthening interdisciplinary cooperation, promoting innovation and making a meaningful contribution to the global development of transport technologies.
