A major Chinese university is looking to build connections with BME

Leaders from the city of Xiamen visited the university to discuss cooperation.

A delegation from Xiamen, a city of five million people located in South-East China, visited the BME to discuss cooperation between BME and the city's university. Li Huiyue, deputy head of the party committee of the city, was accompanied by company executives and officials from the local administration. The delegation was received by András Nemeslaki, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Gergely Zaránd, Vice-Rector for Science.

Xiamen University

During the meeting, the Chinese guests urged to build links between BME and Xiamen University and to strengthen Chinese corporate relations so that BME can be involved in the development of Xiamen's economic ecosystem. The parties plan to further discuss the establishment of scholarships for Chinese students to study at BME.

Xiamen University

Xiamen University is the largest higher education institution in its region, with 46,000 students in 34 faculties, 3,000 lecturers and 17 research institutes. Its representatives visited BME a year earlier.
