The group will be responsible for knowledge sharing based on case studies in the field of cybersecurity and innovation.

BME will lead the work package entitled Knowledge sharing through case studies between industry and universities (WP4) in the InnovaCyBridge project, implemented within the framework of the EIT HEI Initiative.

InnovaCyBridge is an EU-funded project with a total budget of €1.3 million, aimed at strengthening cyber resilience and management in the business sector through the integration of advanced cybersecurity management and startup management education. Experts from the University of Technology are working with British, Greek, Maltese, Serbian, and Israeli consortium partners on the project. You can read more about it here.

The primary task of the professional team coordinated by BME is to compile a collection of international case studies that promote knowledge sharing between universities, industry players, and startup communities, with a particular focus on the relationship between cybersecurity and innovation.

The purpose of the document is to provide practical guidance to those working in higher education, industries, and the entrepreneurial sector.

It uses real-life examples to examine how university innovation ecosystems work and explores the factors that promote or hinder collaboration between universities and startups.

The work package also includes several elements based on international knowledge transfer and community learning:

- the establishment of InnoCircle Communities of Practice (CoP) to encourage trust building, experience sharing and joint learning processes;
- the creation of thematic Knowledge Hubs to support the systematization and continuous expansion of the knowledge base;
- and the organization of local Knowledge Transfer and Innovation (KTI) workshops which provide an opportunity for university research results to inspire real industrial applications.

Through its participation in the project, BME actively contributes to the development of the domestic higher education innovation ecosystem, the dissemination of international best practices, and the establishment of lasting professional cooperation between actors in science, industry, and the entrepreneurial sphere.
