Dear BME Alumni!
Over the past year, BME has gone through a major transformation: we have transitioned from a state university to a private university. This paves the way for BME to become an even more dynamic and attractive institution. We have also launched our alumni program, where we welcome our former students from all around the world.

This year, the Nagy Bálint Awards were presented for the first time to former BME students whose outstanding professional achievements and community engagement reflect the lasting spirit of our university.
Tibor Kapu and Gyula Cserényi, the second Hungarian research rocket scientist and his backup partner officially became members of the BME Alumni community following the big DAY One event on September 5.
The country’s most prestigious institution of technical higher education has transitioned to a new, privately maintained university operating model.
Our institution has established a new body whose purpose is to support BME's international relations and key strategic objectives. The advisory board includes internationally recognised experts such as Prof. Dr. György Haller and Dr. Anthony Radev.
