Seven hundred students participate in the International Week events
2025. 06. 16.
It has become a tradition at BME to spend a whole week learning about each other's cultures and customs.
It was the fourth time that the International Mentoring Team (IMT) at BME organised the International Week, attended by nearly seven hundred students from Hungary and foreign countries.
Organised in cooperation with the BME International Relations Directorate (NKI), the event aims to provide an opportunity for BME students to network with each other through a variety of informal activities, thus promoting the exchange of cultures.
The week was opened on 5 May with an exhibition in the K building's ceremonial hall, featuring photographs and graphics by nearly 20 artists:

The evening continued with wine tasting (see the opening photo), where the invited winemakers introduced the audience to the different methods of wine production and other wine-related curiosities.
At the Folk Night, participants were given a glimpse into Hungarian folklore traditions with the help of professional dancers and they even learned folk songs:

There was also a party with live music (the four bands: The Loco, Schihederek, Creative Fun Creation, Vadhús) to set the mood, where everyone could forget about the semester's fatigue for a few hours. The next day, volleyball, football and beer pong tournaments took place at the BME Sports Campus.

Those who submitted artwork for the exhibition, as well as the winners of the Sports Day, received a range of prizes courtesy of the week's sponsors. The organisers (Nikolett Majsa, Dóra Farkas, Lőrinc Ottó, Anna Györgyi, Zsuzsanna Borbála Szabados, Anna Mária Mónus, Zoltán Csiszár) would like to thank the BME Sports Centre, the Sugár Cinema, the Light Art Museum and the VR Park Budapest for their contribution.
