BME to host EELISA's first PhD Symposium
2025. 08. 11.Who can best summarize their thesis in three minutes?
On November 28-29, European university association EELISA is organizing its 1st PhD Symposium for doctoral students studying at member institutions. Participants from all years of doctoral programs are welcome to present their research and build relationships.
Applicants will have 3 minutes to explain their thesis. The task is to talk about it in a way that is
interesting not only to those familiar with the field, but also to others,
thereby developing communication skills.
Another goal of the symposium is to promote dialogue between partner institutions in the hope of future joint PhD programs. The keynote talk is to be given by Gergő Almádi, one of the creators of Bille.
Applications can be submitted until September 22 with a 350 word abstract, an A1-format poster (find help here), and a 3 minute video.
A maximum of 15 applications from each EELISA member university will be accepted, their respective institutions deciding on participation. For more information, visit this page. Questions can be sent to kovesdi.balazs@emk.bme.hu and mischl.eszter@bme.hu.
