AI Training for Public Sector Employees Kicks Off
2026. 04. 21.BME is developing course materials for the Europe-wide project.
The first training programme of AI4Gov-X, a project partnered by BME and designed to develop educational materials on the application of artificial intelligence for public sector employees, has been launched. The two-year master’s program, called MagiX, creates a shared learning and innovation space through its innovative educational platform, connecting the academic sphere, public administration, and industry.
AI4Gov-X is a European-level initiative whose goals include establishing the use of AI in the public sector, promoting sustainable and human-centered digital governance, and building a new community of competent experts. MagiX is committed to preparing current and future civil servants to
not only follow but also lead the digital transformation.
This is particularly important at a time when the rise of artificial intelligence is key to both operational efficiency and competitiveness.
As one of the consortium members collaborating on the AI4Gov-X project, BME is helping to develop the curriculum and is expected to organize summer courses in the future. MagiX was launched at the consortium’s March meeting in Madrid. One interesting aspect is that the course offerings for the second year will also be entrusted to artificial intelligence, András Czmerk, assistant professor in the Department of Mechatronics, Optics, and Mechanical Engineering Informatics and one of the programme coordinators on behalf of BME, told bme.hu.
