2026. 05. 15.Photo story on the event held from May 4 to 8.
BME recently hosted its second Erasmus Staff Week, with a total of 26 participants from 20 universities in 9 EU countries (France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Latvia, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Romania, and Spain). These included institutions such as the universities of Bremen, Alicante, Limerick, Erlangen-Nuremberg, Riga, Seville, and Salerno.
The guests were welcomed by Rector Charaf Hassan, Vice Rector for International Affairs András Nemeslaki, and Bíbor Klekner, Head of the Department of International Relations.
The first day was mostly spent getting to know each other:
The Staff Week programme included a workshop on artificial intelligence, an introduction to the EELISA university alliance, a robot demonstration, as well as visits to the university’s research reactor, the high-voltage laboratory, the library, and the wind tunnel:
We were fortunate in terms of the weather when choosing the date for the gala dinner combined with a boat trip:
BME Staff Week will take place again next year, and the dates have already been set: May 3–7.
