BME Hosts Delegation from Iraq's Middle Technical University

MTU is one of Iraq's largest technical universities, with more than 40,000 students. Its main areas of education include engineering and management.

The discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in education and research, with particular emphasis on engineering and management. MTU is already an active participant in Erasmus+ and Horizon projects, including collaborations with Politehnica Bucharest, BME's partner in the EELISA university alliance.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two institutions signed a Letter of Intent, which may be followed by a Memorandum of Understanding in the future. The Iraqi delegation also invited Rector Charaf to attend the university's engineering conference in September and to make an official visit to MTU.
